Weight In Wednesday - Return from Vacation Blues

Hello readers!  Long time no see huh?  Well fear not, I am baaaack!  Vacation was awesome.  Loved every minute of it and definitely did not want to come back.  Especially when the weather was 60 and sunny in Maryland as opposed to 40ish and rainy (then snow and cold again earlier this week).

Coming back to reality from vacation also means facing the scale.  I ate whatever I wanted on vacation whenever I wanted.  Yeah...definitely didn't help my weight loss journey.  Like, at all.

Up until this point I haven't been sharing my weight on the blog.  I've just been sticking to how many pounds I lost or gained.  Well, I've decided to suck it up and just come out with it.  Maybe I'll even follow in Halie's footsteps and post my full weight loss story on the blog some day.  But until then I'll just share with you my weight.  Dun, dun duuuun!

Initial Starting Weight (highest recorded weight): 205
January Starting Weight: 202.8
Last Weigh In, 2/20/13: 203.3
Today, March 13: 205.7

A gain of 2.4 pounds in 3 weeks.  And not only a gain but a gain that puts me back at my highest weight I have ever recorded.  Safe to say I tumbled off the wagon.  Again.  Super frustrating.  Actually it is beyond frustrating.  I've steadily gained weight since I graduated high school 5 years ago.  And I've been "trying" to lose weight every single one of those 5 years.  I have yet to really make progress.  And I have no one to blame but myself.

So, here I am once again committing to losing weight by leading a healthier lifestyle which means eating better foods and watching my portion sizes and being more active (read: going to the gym I pay $24/month for).

One of my goals for 2013 is to reach my goal weight of 150 pounds by December 31st.  I know I can reach this goal if I commit to the work that needs to be done.  No more excuses!

I'm always looking for support and encouragement so please leave some.  And I am more than happy to provide support and encouragement back to ya if you need it.

Oh!  I almost forgot, I am linking up for the first time with Erin and Alex for the first time for Weigh-In Wednesday.  Be sure to check them out!

  2. Good for you for being brave girl! I know it's so hard the first time you post your actual weight on your blog, but it get's easier and easier, and then you become proud of yourself once it starts changing for everyone to see! I'm so proud of you! And I know you can do it too. You sound determined and motivated and as long as you've got that on your side, you're already heading in the right direction!!
