First of all I would like to say how thankful I am that I have never battled any real addictions to anything like drugs or alcohol.
But on to the fun stuff which is what I am addicted to.
The very first thing that came to mind was Mountain Dew. I even mention it in the blurb about me and my blog on the top of my side bar! Caffeine is the real culprit here though. I do get a headache when I don’t get my daily dose of caffeine. Mountain Dew is just the way I choose to get my caffeine more often than not.
Hoodies are another addiction. I don’t even want to begin to try to count how many I have. 9 times out of 10 when I go on vacation and am looking for a souvenir of my trip I end up with a hoodie. My trip to Maryland was a prime example; I already had a NCIS sweatshirt in hand but wanted to get something that said Washington D.C. on it. I was hemming and hawing between getting a t-shirt and a hoodie. I truly love hoodies so I wanted to get one but decided since I already had one in my hand I didn’t need another and it helped that I didn’t like the Washington D.C. hoodie design as much as the t-shirt and I had to make sure all of my purchases would fit in my carry on in order to get it all home.
You could probably say I have a slight addiction to nail polish as well. I have plenty of nail polish and I love to go look at it in stores. Thankfully I use great restraint and don’t buy some every time I take a peek at it. Funny thing is, I don’t particularly enjoy doing my own nails, probably because I’m not very good at it.
Books are another addiction of mine. I have a lot and like with nail polish love to go look at them in stores. The addiction has probably worsened since I got a Kindle 2 years ago for my birthday. Luckily a lot of the books I read on there are free ones but I do spend my fair share of money with it as well. It’s especially easy to spend more money than I should with the ease of the 1-click purchasing system since I have my Amazon account linked to a card.
Thanks Em, Lin, and Meg for hosting another great week of Random Thursday!
I have an addiction to books!
ReplyDeleteI am addicted to books too. I have so many but I can't leave the bookstore without buying a new one. :)
ReplyDeleteI FORGOT NAIL POLISH! *face palm*
ReplyDeleteTotally with you on the books. When I first got an e-reader I couldn't believe how expensive e-books were! So most of the time i'd still rather buy the physical book... and like Katrin, I can't leave a book store without buying one. I also can't walk past a bookstore without going in, so you see where my problem with shelf space comes from!
Thanks for linking up with us!
I can totally relate to becoming a cranky monster if I dont get my daily dose of caffeine. My fave? Dr. Pepper...ugh, utterly delicious.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I love love love hoodies. My husband used to say I wore his hoodies more than he did haha. It was true, still is. There's something so comfortable about them. Thanks a ton for joining us this week!
Books are an excellent addiction, imo!
